New York Winter 2008

Not like the brazen giant of Greek fame,
With conquering limbs astride from land to land;
Here at our sea-washed, sunset gates shall stand
A mighty woman with a torch, whose flame
Is the imprisoned lightning, and her name
Mother of Exiles.

Arriving at Liberty Island

I know. There's nothing more romantic than watching birds feeding on junk food.

A monumental bronze eagle, sculpted by Albino Manca (1898–1976) and set on a pedestal of polished black granite, grips a laurel wreath over a wave--signifying the act of mourning at the watery grave, is the centerpiece of the East Coast Memorial.

Hi Norms!! Really nice pictures. I especially like the birds discussing the news. :o)
I tell ya, whenever I feel a little bit discouraged looking at the photos I took, I view your blog and Flickr to get inspired. Kay I will always remember what you said, about experimenting and not worrying about the equipment (yes, same p&s pa ni ako hehehe).
Keep the photos coming... :o)

Salamat. Lagi, most of the photos I like are those where I had to scramble to get a clean shot.

Please email me the link to that photo album of yours?
